Microsoft is managing what sort of stuff you can get for the XBox pretty closely, turning it into a general purpose computer is probably pretty far from their minds. It would be a great way to gain some additional life from the XBox once they've abandoned it (replaced it with an XBox2 or something) - sell an upgrade kit for an amount that makes up on how much they lose on the hardware (if they're still losing money on the hardware) that turns it into a regular PC.Thu, 01 Sep 2005 19:17:07 GMT
