&lt;P&gt;I mean, it just sucks that this great technology has this stupid name.&lt;/P&gt;&#13;
&lt;P&gt;You can't search the 'net for it (&amp;#8220;.NET&amp;#8221; is far too common).&amp;nbsp; That's a huge disadvantage, although I guess C has the same problem.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&#13;
&lt;P&gt;Is it descriptive?&amp;nbsp; Not really - it's actually pretty misleading.&amp;nbsp; Most of the .NET framework doesn't have anything to do with networking.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/P&gt;&#13;
&lt;P&gt;I that when marketing comes up with a stupid name for a piece of technology, the developers should have some veto power.. then we wouldn't end up with things like &amp;#8220;Windows Me&amp;#8221; , and &amp;#8220;.NET&amp;#8221;.&lt;/P&gt;&#13;
&lt;P&gt;Just a wee rant.&lt;/P&gt;&#13;
