- .NET<P>You know, “.NET” is a stupid name for a framework.</P>
<P>I mean, it just sucks that this great technology has this stupid name.</P>
<P>You can't search the 'net for it (“.NET” is far too common). That's a huge disadvantage, although I guess C has the same problem. </P>
<P>Is it descriptive? Not really - it's actually pretty misleading. Most of the .NET framework doesn't have anything to do with networking. </P>
<P>I that when marketing comes up with a stupid name for a piece of technology, the developers should have some veto power.. then we wouldn't end up with things like “Windows Me” , and “.NET”.</P>
<P>Just a wee rant.</P>
