<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><item><title>Mac: Intel Inside</title><description>Well, they did it.. Jobs announced at WWDC that the Mac will be using Intel processors. They'll have a P4 3.6ghz developer system available for $999 for developers to start porting their stuff. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I still don't like it much but it does mean the Mac can gain a lot of performance in a short time span.&amp;nbsp; They can't build a Powerbook with a G5 but there are plenty of fast x86 laptop processors. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;And it means that thanks to the competition in the PC market between Intel and AMD, they can build systems that are competitively priced.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Too bad IBM screwed this up.. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description><pubDate>Thu, 01 Sep 2005 19:17:09 GMT</pubDate></item>
